Visits from family and friends can be an important part of the patient's hospital stay. But, please remember that the patient is here to rest and get well. Too many visitors and lengthy visits can slow recovery. However, we kindly ask that you follow these visiting guidelines:

• Keep visits to a reasonable length.
  
• Please respect designated visiting hours. They are established to ensure adequate rest time for our patients.
  
• CMH is a smoke-free facility, inside and out. Smoking is prohibited by all employees, patients and visitors anywhere on the main hospital campus or at its medical centers in Dunkirk and Solomons.
  
• All patient rooms are equipped with private telephones. With the patient's permission, you may call the room directly each day until 9 p.m.
