Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Ziad Hubayter has joined Dr. Mitra Nassiraee of Calvert Women's Center in Prince Frederick and Solomons. He recently completed a three-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. "We're excited to offer this new expertise to area women," said Nassiraee.

Calvert Women's Center provides all aspects of women's health including adult and adolescent gynecology, as well as complete OB care and family planning. Their offices are located in the Calvert Medical Office Building next to the hospital and the Solomons Medical Center. For more information, call the toll-free CMH Physician Referral Line at 1-888-906-8773.

Nassiraee has been an active member of the CMH medical staff since 2003. She graduated from George August University in Germany in 1994 and completed her residency at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in 1998 and Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2002.

Hubayter graduated from American University of Beirut School of Medicine in 2001. He went on to complete his OB/GYN residency at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC in 2006. He also has a master's in public health from George Washington School of Public Health and a MBA in medical service management from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

In addition to general obstetrics and gynecological care, he specializes in the diagnosis and management of infertility, advanced laparoscopic procedures, abnormal uterine bleeding, hormone replacement therapy, premature menopause as well as precocious and delayed puberty. His special interests include the treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, osteoporosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and chronic pelvic pain.

"For me, the most important part is providing the highest quality care to each and every one of my patients," said Hubayter. "I want to educate my patients so that they can be more personally involved in their care."

Hubayter said he chose to practice at Calvert because he was "attracted to working in a community setting that focuses on the doctor-patient relationship."
